This walkthrough, review and demo of
SpaceFields app from
Gavinski’s Tutorials, an experimental looper app that works standalone and as an AUv3 plugin on iPad, iPhone and M1 or higher Macs. It is mainly designed for spacey soundscapes, ambient and experimental music, but can also be used in a cleaner way for interesting Euclidean rhythmic effects on guitar and synth lines etc. There are some things I love about it and others I’m not so crazy about. If you think you can get used to the workflow, it may provide a very interesting and budget alternative to many highly priced and uber-trendy hardware guitar pedals.
